About TraceTots
TraceTots is a free library of name-tracing and handwriting worksheets, built so any parent or teacher can print quality practice pages in seconds — no signup, no clutter, no spam.
Why we built this
We were tired of handwriting worksheet sites buried in pop-ups, forced logins, and low-quality printouts. So we built a clean, fast tool that does one thing well: generate a custom name-tracing worksheet — or a ready-made cursive, number, or lined-paper PDF — and let you print it immediately.
Everything is generated right in your browser. When you type a child's name into the name tracing generator, that name never leaves your device. The worksheet PDF is built locally and downloaded straight to you.
How the worksheets are made
Each worksheet uses classic three-line handwriting rule — a solid baseline, a dashed midline for x-height, and a top line — the same structure used in early-years classrooms. Letters print as light outlines so learners trace the correct stroke shapes first, then write each letter independently on the blank rows below.
Our fonts are open-licensed: Andika (designed by SIL International specifically for literacy and beginning readers) for print, and Dancing Script for cursive and calligraphy — both under the SIL Open Font License.
Who it's for
- Parents helping a child learn to write their name and letters at home.
- Teachers printing class sets of alphabet, number, and name practice.
- Adult learners rebuilding neat, legible handwriting.
- Calligraphy beginners tracing elegant letterforms.
Free, with an optional extra
The single-page worksheets and the generator are free forever. We're adding an optional Premium pack (multi-page sets, extra fonts, watermark-free) for a small one-time price to support the site — but the free tools stay free.
